Load Balancing

3CX also provided a Load Balanced configuration and this setting can be used together with HA clustering. This setting will evenly distribute the calls to the main server and the backup server. Normally in HA setting, most of the time the backup server is only in a standby mode. Using Load Balanced configuration will make use of both servers and make system more efficient and effective.

In a load balancing environment, half of the people will register to Server A as a primary server. Another half people will register to Server B as primary server to handling outgoing calls. For incoming calls, the ISDN provider will configure the calls evenly distribute to two lines, i.e. one call on gateway A and the second will be on gateway B. The calls on gateway A will go through 2 and calls on gateway B will go through 5.
