3CX High Availabilty Clustering

Due to different nature of business, 3CX also provided High Availability Clusters for those who need a non-interrupt service of communications such as call-center.

High-availability clusters (also known as HA clusters or failover clusters) are two or more of computers that can be reliably utilized with a minimum of down-time. They operate by harnessing redundant servers in groups that provide continued service when system components fail. Without HA, if a hardware phone system crashes, the phone service will be unavailable until the crashed hardware is fixed. HA clustering remedies this situation by detecting hardware/software faults, and the system immediately replaced by another server without requiring administrative intervention, a process known as failover.

3CX provided three types of HA settings:

• Server Redundancy
• Full Redundancy
• Load Balance Setting
